New from Lived Places Publishing: December 2023
As the year comes to a close, we are celebrating the publication of our 23rd book – the 1st title in our Carceral Studies Collection:
Stuck Outside: The Limits of Progressive Criminal Legal System Reform in an Inequitable Society by Andrew Taylor
This book explores how identity and social circumstances affect people's experiences with the criminal legal system in the U.S.
New Collection: Social Work
We are also pleased to announce that we have a new collection in the works! The Social Work Collection, led by Dr. Kate Parkinson at University of Salford, is our 15th collection.
This collection aims to focus on the lived experiences of individuals, families, and communities who have been involved with social work services across the globe. We are seeking titles that explore the contemporary issues and challenges that social workers face, highlighting the approaches and interventions that keep peoples' identity and lived experience at the heart of strategies and service delivery.
If you or a colleague are interested in submitting a proposal, here's more information about the new collection.
It's been an amazing year here at Lived Places; there's a lot more to come in 2024.
