This morning we published our 20th book, the 5th title in our growing Black Studies Collection:
At War With Politics: A Journey from Traditional Political Science to Black Politics by Dr. Stephen Graves
Speaking of Black Studies, please come to our session tomorrow: The Growing Identity Crisis of Multiracial Americans in a Racially Divided Country. This free seminar is on THURSDAY OCTOBER 26 at 12 pm ET. Even if you can't attend live, please register and we'll notify you about the replay.
New Collection! Human-Centered Design Studies
We are also pleased to announce that we have a new collection in the works! The Human-Centered Design Studies Collection, led by D. S. Nicholas at Drexel University, is about how thoughtful, empathetic design can change peoples’ lived experience, especially in populations of need. Dr. Nicholas will be seeking to cover design as a culture of care: Spaces, technologies, places, ideas, thoughts, and objects designed to support healing, human health, well-being, justice, and equity for those who need and use them.
If you or a colleague are interested in submitting a proposal, here's more information about the new collection.
There's a lot of progress happening here at Lived Places, glad to have you along on this journey with us.
Last thing I'll mention: We are still collecting responses to our Author Identity Metadata Project – would love your 3-min input if you haven't already.
